Defined Terms Indexer®
New in version 3:
Index capitalized words and phrases
Find all capitalized words and phrases in your document – you can select which ones you want to index.
Index definitions or all occurrences
Create a definitions index showing just the pages where a defined term is defined (first used in double quotes) or showing all instances throughout your document.
Treat full caps as upper/ lower
If your document contains headings, sentences or paragraphs where your defined terms might be typed in full caps, you can index them as if they were in regular case: your defined terms will be found and marked even if you are doing a case sensitive search.
Ignore words with numbers
Optionally ignore words with numbers, such as currencies, when you’re indexing capitalized words and phrases.
Defined Terms Indexer automatically finds, highlights and indexes any number of words and phrases in any Word document, whenever you want. You can quickly and easily track any or all of your terms to make sure they’re used and capitalized correctly with a few clicks of a mouse. Defined Terms Indexer accelerates proofreading complex word processing documents, allowing you to concentrate on content.

An essential tool for accurate documentation
Defined Terms Indexer accelerates drafting and proofreading because it flags key words and phrases for you.
Making sure defined terms are used correctly is a painstaking task. You have to read your text carefully, word for word, over and over, verifying that terms and phrases are used and capitalized as they should be depending on the context. Long documents, multiple drafts, late hours, looming deadlines – all make it more difficult than it needs to be to catch and correct mistakes.
You can manually go through your documents, searching and highlighting terms one by one. But the more terms you search for, the more time consuming the process, and it’s even more difficult to create an index because you have to insert the right codes. If you’ve got scores of defined terms to check, the manual process can become unmanageable.
Defined Terms Indexer slashes the drudgery of proofreading, allowing you to move on more quickly to more productive work.
